Community guidelines
Invite only.
Membership is by invitation and confirmed by an admin. Your application stays pending until someone vouches for you. There are no open sign-ups.
Show up, or call it early.
RSVP honestly and cancel in good time if plans change. Courts are booked and teams are balanced around who said they were coming. Repeated no-shows get noticed. There is a bail index.
What’s said here stays here.
The directory, phone numbers, kids’ details, and anything shared in the group are for members only. Don’t forward, screenshot, or repurpose them outside House of Dads.
Recommendations are personal.
Only recommend people and places you have actually used. Endorse honestly. The board is trusted because the dads behind it are.
Keep it good-natured.
Banter is the point. Harassment, spam, self-promotion, and bringing work pitches to the group are not. There is no tolerance for abusive members or objectionable content: report it and the committee will act, usually the same day, and repeat offenders lose their place.
Padel is doubles and friendly.
Play to win, lose like a gentleman, and don’t argue the score for ten minutes. Ratings sort themselves out over time.
Terms of use
House of Dads is a private members’ club and app, provided as-is for the social and sporting coordination of its community. By applying you agree to use it lawfully, to keep your sign-in to yourself, and not to misuse, scrape, or disrupt the service.
Membership and access are granted at the committee’s discretion and may be suspended or withdrawn for breach of these rules. Applying is not membership, and an application can be declined without a reason being given. The service is offered without warranty; we are a group of dads, not a software company.
Privacy
What you send with this form (your name, email, what you do, where you live, your kids’ year groups and the member who proposed you) is stored so the committee can read your application and so the directory works if it is approved. It is visible only to approved members and the committee, and is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
If your application is declined, or you would rather we did not keep it, ask us and it is deleted. Once you are a member you can delete your account yourself from the app at any time, which removes your profile, your kids’ details, your RSVPs and your ratings for good.
The full policy, including how long things are kept and who to write to, is on the privacy policy page.
